The Family History Committee was founded in March 1999 in response to broad community interest in the special area of research. The purpose of the committee is to support members in starting their family history research. The Family History Committee produces a regular newsletter that is included in the Historical Society’s monthly newsletter. The newsletter includes reviews of resources, news of training and events, items of special interest to those researching ancestors, the history of Maple Ridge, and how-to articles. The newsletter can be obtained through a subscription to the Maple Ridge historical Society.
Subscriptions are a benefit of membership in the Maple Ridge Historical Society. Please send membership applications, with $20 to the Maple Ridge Historical Society.
Do you have a passion for family history research? Then come share your research triumphs, your family treasures, and your family research challenges with the Maple Ridge Family History Group. The program is unstructured, allowing participants to present items of interest to the group, share resources and ask for advice. The Family History Group welcomes all participants, from beginners to seasoned family researchers.
