Park Family

William J. Park was born in Somerset, England, and came to Canada in 1901 and to Pitt Meadows in 1905 where he started a farm. Mary (Minnie) McMyn was born on Lulu Island and came to Pitt Meadows in 1907, marrying William Park on October 25th, 1910.

Mr. Park participated in Municipal Affairs for 30 years; first, as Municipal Clerk in 1914, later becoming Councillor and then Reeve. He also pioneered in the formation of the Fraser Valley Milk Producers Association in 1917, being the first secretary and later president/manager from 1923 to 1934.

Mr. and Mrs. Park moved to Vancouver to reside in Kerrisdale from 1923 to 1930, but returned to their Pitt Meadows farm in 1930.
